Deepali Lindblom is a professional dancer of Bollywood genre.
Proficient in several folk dances from India, Deepali is trained in 'Kathak', an Indian classical dance. Though dance remains her first passion, she also is a folk theater artist and a glove puppeteer.
Having lived in three unique countries, Deepali strives to blends in the charisma of the East, the precision of the West and the best of in between, in her artistic productions.

Quebec Dance week
Many gathered at Place-des-Arts to participate and enjoy the Bollywood flashmob performed by Deepali and friends, followed by a short dance from Poutine Masala. The event was organised by Regroupement québécois de la danse, in their first edition of Quebec dance week.

A soulful reflection of Montreal, Poutine Masala is a comical look at an intercultural relationship that is sure to warm the heart. Trilingual, it is a comedy dance-theatre in a true Bollywood style.

Poutine Masala is not a traditional musical. The use of dance, the style of acting, the choice of music is unlike anything local audiences are accustomed to. But that’s the whole point. Both Indian and Québécois cultures are deeply rooted in traditions which, on the surface, seem incompatible.
Creating a show which bridges these two cultures and speaks to both was arguably the biggest challenge I have ever faced as a writer.
So, the question was: “Can you handle the spice?”
I think we handled it pretty well. Now, can you handle it?
You should come out and taste the spice.
